The challenge isn’t a shortage of advice.
It’s knowing which advice applies to your business, what deserves attention now, and what to leave for later. Good strategy makes those trade-offs clearer.
Whether you are shaping an idea, putting a new business into motion, or building on years of experience, the next decision matters. Momentus offers one-on-one guidance from a mentor and a dedicated strategic advisor to help you clarify opportunities, put plans into action, and move forward with confidence. Recurring board-style think tanks keep that guidance focused on your business.
NOT A FIXED PATH
1The opportunity
When you are just starting out, the challenge may be turning an idea into a viable business concept and figuring out how to act on it. For an early-stage founder, it may be building, testing, and finding traction. For an established business owner, it may be improving performance, navigating growth, or planning for the future. The questions change, but the value of experienced people helping you think them through does not.
It’s knowing which advice applies to your business, what deserves attention now, and what to leave for later. Good strategy makes those trade-offs clearer.
People who have launched, hired, grown, made mistakes, changed course, and exited businesses can ask questions you may not think to ask yourself.
Momentus is built on a simple idea: entrepreneurial wisdom is most valuable when it is applied to a real decision. Your mentor and advisor don’t just offer frameworks. They help you look at the options, understand the consequences, and move forward with greater conviction.
2The fellowship
Imagine having experienced entrepreneurs you can turn to as you work through the questions that matter most. That is the thinking behind Momentus. Over four months, you receive one-on-one support from a mentor and a dedicated strategic advisor. Together, you can formulate an idea, plan and implement the first steps, work through early growth challenges, or address the priorities of an established company. Recurring board-style think tanks bring additional perspective to those decisions.
Benefit from personal mentorship with Jon Brandt, who has built, grown, and successfully exited five businesses. He helps you pressure-test an idea, think through the practical steps to build it, anticipate challenges, and take the longer view when an immediate decision feels urgent.
Work one-on-one with a strategic advisor who stays close to the work. Together, you can turn a developing concept into a practical plan, make decisions as you implement it, and tackle challenges as the business evolves. Your advisor brings consistent perspective and follow-through, not just an occasional meeting.
Multiple times each month, bring your real challenges to focused, board-style sessions. Put the opportunity, numbers, uncertainties, and trade-offs on the table. Leave with candid feedback, sharper options, and a next move worth making.
Training follows the questions your business raises. Focused sessions and practical lessons can address idea development, customer validation, implementation planning, pricing, marketing, sales, finance, leadership, operations, growth, scaling, and exit readiness. The goal isn’t to work through a generic syllabus. It’s to learn something useful, apply it, and bring the results back to the table.
Who the Momentus Entrepreneur Fellowship serves
You don’t have to fit a certain profile or follow a fixed sequence of lessons. We work from the opportunities, challenges, and decisions that are relevant to you. Your priorities shape the conversation.
Momentus is designed for ambitious founders and business owners, whether they are developing something new or looking to strengthen, expand, or create lasting value in an established company. The support is informed by the business in front of us, regardless of how long it has been operating.
The Momentus Entrepreneur Fellowship uses a holistic selection process designed to recognize entrepreneurial potential in many forms. Selection considers demonstrated accomplishment, initiative, leadership, resilience, ambition, an idea or opportunity worth pursuing, commitment, coachability, and an in-depth mentoring interview.
3Your four-month program
Your mentor and strategic advisor begin with the realities of your business, not a preset syllabus. That may mean developing an idea into a clear concept and implementation plan, supporting the decisions that come with launching or finding early traction, or working through growth and long-term priorities in an established company. In every case, the guidance is personal and the work is real.
Bring the live question, the numbers, the uncertainty, or the opportunity. Work through it with people who have built and led companies. Then put the thinking into practice and return with what you learned.
Evaluate new opportunities, challenge assumptions, sharpen positioning, and decide which priorities deserve time and capital.
Work through revenue, customer acquisition, financial decisions, operations, and practical execution with experienced feedback along the way.
Think through leadership, systems, resilience, expansion, enterprise value, or what a possible future transition could require.
We begin with the situation in front of you: a decision, obstacle, opportunity, or assumption you need to test.
Your mentor and advisor help you see the trade-offs, sharpen the strategy, and choose a practical next move.

Take the decision into your business. Then return with what happened, so the next conversation can build on what you learned.
Receive one-on-one attention from a mentor and strategic advisor who focus on your business, not a hypothetical case study.
Return to the table multiple times each month for strategy, constructive challenge, tactical guidance, and feedback.
Practical sessions, lessons, and training are selected to help solve the next problem in front of you.
Build stronger judgment, operating habits, and a long-term perspective that continue well beyond four months.
Four months of better questions, clearer decisions, and work that moves forward.
Our mission is to empower entrepreneurs to build extraordinary companies and meaningful lives.
4Our founder
Jon Brandt has started, led, grown, and successfully exited five businesses. He knows the weight of decisions that don’t come with an instruction manual. He also understands why the lessons behind them matter as much as the outcomes.
Entrepreneur, venture capitalist, private equity investor, mentor, and board leader
Jon Brandt has spent decades building, scaling, investing in, and exiting organizations across multiple industries, including education, healthcare, and behavioral health. Over the course of his career, he has led five successful exits and developed a track record of turning vision into durable growth.
His experience also includes venture capital and private equity, and he has served on numerous boards. Jon has also been a guest lecturer on entrepreneurship at The Ohio State University, Fordham University, and New York University (NYU).
At Momentus, Jon brings that experience into the conversation with you. His aim is not to hand you someone else’s formula, but to help you see what matters, make informed choices, and build a business that can become more valuable over time.
